Chobots

Hello Gamers!
Chobots.Net is an MMORPG that started off as a branch from the Chobots game which released in June 2008 as an alpha stage. Chobots.Com was loved by fans for four years, until a group of hackers seriously damaged Chobots purity. Vayersoft, the creators of Chobots were forced to shut down the game on August 8th 2011. But some of these staff and players were determined to keep the game running once more. Chobots.Net was created on October 2011 as a closed beta, soon in open beta. After four months of development and testing, Chobots.Net was officially released on January 2012.

I've played more than a year of the game, and I've been really addicted. As opposed to Club Penguin's membership, Chobots.Net's form of membership is called Citizenship. These include 1 month, 6 month and 12 month Citizenship with a plan. This means that there are items and money (called Bugs) included when buying. Along with that is the $hop where you can buy items, playercard colors, chat bubble colors and character bodies that you can buy with RL (Real-Life) cash.

Of course it can be impossible if your about 13 years old to ask your parents if they can open their Pay-Pal accounts to buy something. Earlier this month, Chobots introduced a brand new system with Auto-renewal of citizenship and Manual renewal. Auto-renewal means that it will automatically renew your citizenship every month your citizenship expires, and will give you the items of that month it renews. But back to the actual game itself. Moderators are constantly active to keep Chobots safe, and to satisfy their players, Chobots hold parties with item rain. Item rain is literally an ITEM RAIN! It's crazy, but this is one of the most popular things to do on Chobots. Agents definitely aren't like Club Penguin agents, because although they do get awesome stuff becoming an agent, Agents on Chobots take their role very seriously.

If they don't do their job, they can lose their Agent badge. That's right, BADGES! There are 4 badges that you can currently get on Chobots, but of course, not all at once. There is the Citizenship badge to identify a Citizen. Along with that to identify, they have clothing that is only available for them to wear, and they have green chat. There is the Agent badge to identify an Agent. The agents have a blue chat to easily recognize if you need any help. Most definitely, you can see which agent is on a leaderboard on their badge. Of course, this isn't exactly to see who is better. There is a Moderator badge to of course, identify a moderator. Each moderator has a specific job, such as the Designer mod who designs everything that's on Chobots, and the Support mod who manages the Support email. Yes, you can email the Chobots staff with fan art, anything. And they will respond within 24 hours. Very dedicated, yes. Last of all but not least, is the Journalist badge. Journalists are who advertise Chobots through their blogs. They design very well, and post very often.

On Chobots is a drawing underground, where Citizens, Agents and Artists can draw! You may be asking what an Artist is. An Artist is somebody who can draw very well IRL (in real life) and in-game. They are given recognition and can be recognizable if they wear a paintbrush or a paintbrush shirt. There is magic on Chobots too! Magic can do all sorts of things, like change a Chobot into a GIANT Chobot, or even have a balloon on their heads! There are multiple mini-games on Chobots that you can play, where there can be contests! Contests, yes. There are even multiple contests that you can enter, like a video contest (ASK YOUR PARENTS KIDDO) or a poetry contest!

There are so many other things on Chobots, like ROBOT BATTLES! Sounds awesome right? Yeah, kind of not. There are levels of your Robot and Robot teams. It sounds very cool, but after you play a while, it actually turns into a total dud. After a while, it becomes a struggle for defense and attack, in a turn based system on random. However, you can buy upgrades and perks for your robot with in-game cash, which becomes a real boredom for people who can't buy it. Overall, Chobots.Net stays very true to the legacy about five years ago when Chobots first started, and it's evolving every moment with new moderators coming in, and it's great how you can apply for a spot, but most of the time they'll ask you for more experience. I rate Chobots.Net:

9/10 Coins
And now, the citizenship trailer by former Designer: LBP!
