Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance

Hey Gamers!
If you like Final Fantasy, then you probably would know about the Kingdom Hearts series! Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance has a heck of a long title, but the series has gotten off with a big bang on the Nintendo 3DS. With the 3D feature of the Nintendo 3DS, you can see how much depth goes into the game. Kingdom Hearts 3D takes place in Sora and Riku's Mark of Mastery Exam to become true Keyblade masters. Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts are very confusing in a lot of instances. The Mark of Mastery Exam takes place in Worlds that are in sleep, and it's your job to cleanse the worlds using your Keyblade, a blade that's shaped like a key, which can overcome the darkness and rebuild light.

During this exam, Sora and Riku are not aided by each other, instead you discover you won't be alone for this journey anymore. Dream Eaters are the creatures of the game that are not only your primary enemy, but also your ally. There are two types of Dream Eater; Spirit and Nightmare. The Spirits are your allies and you can customize them to your liking. There is also a petting part of the game to gain trust of the Spirit Dream Eaters. Kingdom Hearts 3D saw the new feature of Flowmotion, interaction with the game's environment got a lot easier, but it also made level design pretty useless because you can just wall jump your way up and scale every wall.

Dream Drop Distance has it's meanings. Dream means the Dream Worlds (the sleeping worlds). Drop means the new Drop system alternating between Sora and Riku. Distance means...well I have no idea but it probably connects to the Drop part of the name.

The game also saw the return of Traverse Town as a Dream World. It is very confusing, because this is an alternate Traverse Town as opposed to the Traverse Town in the original Kingdom Hearts. Phew! But anyways, there is a cute little Battle Mode for the Dream Eaters where you can face somebody else in a battle. This utilizes a card turn-based system. It get's very confusing, but it has a guide to it if you don't know what your doing. Along with Traverse Town's return, there are new Worlds that are based off recent or old Disney movies.

Worlds like La Cite Des Cloches that is in France, based off the movie The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Prankster's Paradise from Pinocchio. And also The Grid from Tron: Evolution. The Kingdom Hearts series, I've always had a soft spot in my heart for since I was 5 years old. If your new to the series, this will be the game in the series to convert you. And if you're addicted the series like me then of course your going to like it. I'm rating Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance:

10/10 Coins!
10/10 is a first to the blog!! Time to celebrate, every review post from now on will feature a whole episodes worth!
